Together, we created our B.plantfoam™ footbed. This footbed is made from 72% plant-based materials (USDA-certified biobased). With a carbon footprint of 3.85 kg CO2e, it reduces CO2 emissions by 70% when compared to traditional petroleum-based footbeds. It is currently the only moulded footbed in the world using such a high percentage of biobased materials.
Our B.plantfoam™ material breaks down within five to twenty years, prevents unnecessary waste in landfills and helps reduce carbon content in our supply chain. Comparatively, traditional polyurethane footbeds cannot be easily recycled, produce 300% more carbon emissions, and can take over 1000 years to decompose.
By making use of renewable resources like plants and waste products, we can make a positive impact on the environment by decreasing carbon emissions and fighting climate change.
