To create crazy comfy shoes, you need a shoe last. This is a solid form around which a shoe is moulded. The shape determines the fit, performance, ergonomics and style of a shoe.

WHY:

We’re proud to say our suppliers use 100% recycled polyethylene to create all Bared lasts and no virgin materials are used.

Polyethylene is fantastic for being melted down for reuse, but it is not biodegradable and is responsible for many of the millions of tonnes of plastic in our world's landfills.

WHERE WE ARE HEADING:

We're working with leading material science organisations to assess their 100% biobased materials for footwear production. Our top priority is to switch to a 100% biobased material with a production process that doesn't harm the environment in any way.
