Life in Bared: Isabella Manfredi

The woman behind the music
For Life in Bared, we walk with people whose days rarely look the same twice, discovering the pieces that move with them through work, creativity and everything in between. This time, we're spending the day with Isabella Manfredi
- frontwoman of The Preatures , solo artist, songwriter and mother.
Her world moves between recording studios, festival stages and family life, split between Australia and the United States. It's a life that demands energy, resilience and a wardrobe that can keep pace. For Isabella, that includes a pair of boots she can perform in for 90 minutes straight without giving them a second thought.
Because when the music starts, the shoes should help you fly.

What is the lead singer of The Preatures' secret weapon for a 90-minute set?
"A friend told me about Bared," Isabella says. "She said she thought they'd suit me. She was right."
Long before she discovered Bared, Isabella loved her boots.
"I've been a boots girl my whole life. I love the rhythm of walking in them, the confidence they give you. They always make me feel like I'm going somewhere - even if it's just to the shops."
These days, that "somewhere" is often a little further afield. Touring internationally, recording new music and raising her five-year-old daughter means her footwear has to do more than complete an outfit.
It has to support a life that's constantly in motion.
"When I'm performing, everything else falls away. My body's working so hard up there. My legs and feet carry me dancing for hours, and I need to trust what's supporting them the same way I trust my voice."
"If I'm uncomfortable, I'm not thinking about the song. With Bared, I stopped thinking about my feet. Which means I can think about the music."
It's a simple observation, but perhaps the highest compliment a performer can give. The best shoes aren't the ones you notice. They're the ones that quietly let you get on with what matters.

Life, On & Off Stage
For Isabella, style has always been deeply personal. It's less about dressing for an audience than dressing in a way that feels instinctively her.
That philosophy feels especially relevant now, at a time when more women are embracing wardrobes built around longevity, confidence and clothes that work for real life - not just the highlight reel.
Isabella found Bared.
It was simply something that fit into her world.
The result is refreshingly uncomplicated: boots that stay comfortable through a full set, and styles she'd happily reach for the next morning on school drop-off, in the studio or walking through a new city.
Because life rarely asks us to be just one thing.

Life In Bared
The pieces Isabella reaches for are the ones that move effortlessly between performance and everyday life - timeless silhouettes that never ask her to choose between style and comfort.
"Life in Bared feels like stepping up."
For Isabella, the right footwear isn't about making a statement. It's about making space - to perform, to create, to move and to be fully present.
