Here's to celebrating all the superwomen at Bared.
We put a few of our incredibly talented Bared mums in the spotlight and asked them a little about motherhood. From how they'll be spending Mother's Day this year to what their fave shoes from our women's collection are.
It's not all sunshine and rainbows but they make it work and that's something worth celebrating.

How will you be spending Mothers Day this year?
Likely outdoors. I love a Sunday picnic at the park with my boys and few cheeky croissants.
How do you balance being a mum and working at Bared?
When it comes to work and motherhood, balance is definitely not something I have mastered yet. I am grateful that I love the work that I do and get to enjoy the moments running around with my chuckling toddler.
What do you love most about motherhood?
There are so many things to love (and dislike) about motherhood. I love experiencing the absolute joy Oscar is filled with when he learns something new and being able to watch him grow. The laughs and cuddles are a big thing too.
Last but not least - What are your favourite Bared shoes and why?
I have a few favourites, but at the moment it would have to be the Canary boot in black leather. I love the unique toe shape and contrasting tan sole, it’s the perfect trans-seasonal staple.

How will you be spending Mothers Day this year?
Hopefully my husband plans something ... but realistically we’ll probably be unpacking from moving house.
How do you balance being a mum and working at Bared?
I wouldn’t call it “balance” - that conjures images of poise and grace, which full time work plus baby certainly isn’t! It’s more about doing as much as you can, whether at work or at home, with the time you have in each.
What do you love most about motherhood?
The cuddles. And the smell of his cheek. Definitely not the vomit.
Last but not least - Which are your favourite Bared shoes and why?
I’m into the Canary in ecru this winter. And the Skua in white - they’re crisp or casual.

How will you be spending Mothers Day this year?
Having a family BBQ with lots of fun with my precious sons and grandchildren.
How do you balance being a mum and working at Bared?
Being a working mum keeps me in a routine. It also makes me value time with my family more.
What do you love most about motherhood?
Watching my sons become men and have families of their own. It means so much to me and what I have achieved and what they have achieved in life.
Last but not least - Which are your favourite Bared shoes and why?
My favourite Bared shoes are the Home Boot. Soft and cosy, perfect to wear on a cold day.

How will you be spending Mothers Day this year?
I will be starting off the day with coffee and banana pancakes with Tilly and my husband Marty, then we are likely to be heading off to see both of Tilly’s grandmothers. We live on the Peninsula so if the weather is nice we will head to a brewery or winery and if it is a bit chilly we will light the fire in the afternoon and listen to some tunes.
How do you balance being a mum and working at Bared?
I started working at Bared about 7 months after Tilly was born. My husband, Marty, was given twelve weeks paternity leave so I decided I would go back to working a few days a week.
Having a child and working is a balancing act and I have really had to put some boundaries in place. Striking the right work-life/mum/family-life balance can be hard sometimes and I miss Tilly when I’m away from her. When I’m at work, whether that be in the office or working remotely, I’m utilising a different skillset than when I’m at home and I enjoy the shift in focus.
What do you love most about Motherhood?
I love watching Tilly’s personality grow and change. She is a real character and makes us laugh all the time. Being a mum has made me take stock of what is important in life and given me some perspective on what is worth worrying about and what isn’t.
Last but not least - Which are your favourite Bared shoes and why?
This is a really hard question! I love the Cockatoo in Tan. They are a great transeasonal style and I can wear them with everything.

How will you be spending Mother's Day this year?
Hopefully breakfast in bed followed by a massage from the girls that they will charge me a discounted rate for and then lunch with my mum and the family.
How do you balance being a mum and working at Bared?
Lots of preparation and after-work chores plus I'm lucky enough to have a pretty good husband who works from home that makes the school lunches and takes the kids to all of their after school activities. I'm also in a fortunate position where I can be a little bit flexible with my working hours and can help get the kids to their appointments where need be or even work from home.
What do you love most about motherhood?
Cuddles, kisses and squishes but its also given me the ability to recognise how hard it can be and how awesome my mum is which I definitely didn’t appreciate when I was growing up.
Last but not least - Which are your favourite Bared shoes and why?
Raptor - not too high, can work all day in them and love the look of them and fit around the ankle. Works fabulously with most things I have in my wardrobe
