As a powerhouse performer and Broadway star, Mary Kate Morrissey (MK) has spent years dazzling audiences with her extraordinary voice and captivating stage presence. Having played Elphaba in Wicked on Broadway, she knows what it means to step into big shoes—both literally and figuratively. Whether she's rehearsing, performing, or navigating the fast-paced streets of New York City, she’s constantly on the move. And with a schedule that never slows down, she has to trust her feet to get her there.
Wearing Bared with Plantar Fasciitis
However, life in the theatre isn’t all standing ovations and curtain calls. For MK, plantar fasciitis became an unrelenting obstacle, making it nearly impossible to enjoy fashion the way she once did. The vibrant, expressive shoes she loved? Out of the question. The Wicked Movie Premiere That Changed It All
It wasn’t until the invitation to the Wicked movie premiere landed in her hands that she decided enough was enough.
