We partnered with Evoco, a global leader in sustainable products that creates biobased solutions and uses third-party certified raw materials to reduce environmental impact.
Together, we created our B.plantfoam™ footbed. This footbed is made from 72% plant-based materials (USDA-certified biobased). With a carbon footprint of 3.85 kg CO2e, it reduces CO2 emissions by 70% when compared to traditional petroleum-based footbeds. It is currently the only moulded footbed in the world using such a high percentage of biobased materials.
Our B.plantfoam™ material breaks down within five to twenty years, prevents unnecessary waste in landfills and helps reduce carbon content in our supply chain. A traditional polyurethane footbed cannot be easily recycled, and according to Evoco, they produce 300% more carbon emissions, and can take over 1000 years to decompose.
