Wine Walk NYC: New York Street Style

7/24/2026

Some cities ask you to slow down.
New York isn't usually one of them.

Yet for one evening in SoHo, the pace softened. Streets usually hurried became places to linger. Conversations stretched beyond introductions. Glasses stayed full.

Every destination was reached on foot, proving that the best way to experience a city is the same way you experience great style, one thoughtful step at a time. Inspired by the charm of a European summer, Wine Walk NYC invited friends of Bared to spend an evening wandering through one of Manhattan's most iconic neighbourhoods. Built around the idea that Good Style Travels Well, the experience celebrated everything Bared believes in: beautiful design, genuine connection and footwear that keeps pace long after the first destination.

We Wear Australian

The evening began at We Wear Australian, the SoHo residency dedicated to showcasing Australian fashion on the global stage. Nestled amongst some of the country's most exciting brands, it was the perfect place to welcome New York's creative community before setting out into the city.

Long before the first toast, guests had already spent time getting to know Bared. In the days leading up to Wine Walk NYC, creators visited the showroom for personalised fittings, selecting the styles that best suited their wardrobes while discovering the craftsmanship, biomechanics and thoughtful innovation behind every pair. It transformed a simple fitting into something more meaningful, creating an authentic connection with the product before it ever touched the streets.

On the night, welcome cocktails and light conversation set the tone as the Bared team shared the story behind the Melbourne-founded brand. Guests left not only wearing their chosen styles but understanding what made them different. By the time everyone stepped outside, the shoes already felt like their own.

New York Street Style

If European summers inspired the mood, New York delivered the backdrop.

SoHo's cast iron buildings, cobblestone streets and golden evening light framed every look as guests stepped into the neighbourhood together. The city has always had a unique way of making effortless style feel instinctive, where tailoring never feels too polished and relaxed dressing never feels underdone.

White cotton dresses floated beside oversized shirting, silk slips and soft denim. Sculptural jewellery caught the late afternoon sun while woven bags, understated accessories and natural textures echoed the warmth of Mediterranean escapes. It was the kind of dressing that looked collected rather than curated.

Natalie Park (@itsnataliepark), Naomi Buckle (@naomi.buckle), Emmy Pena (@emmypena), Milan Wheaton (@itsmilan__), Belle Warren (@belle.warren), Alex Hanan (@alexhanan_), Jenna Evangelia (@jennaevangelia), Gabriela Turbert (@tomatocrazy), Hetal Patel (@hetall_patell), Sydney Derrigs (@syd.deriggs), Alina Frolova (@alina.fro), Destiny Joseph (@isthisfate) and Rish Reddy each brought their own interpretation of modern summer dressing, showcasing everything from refined heels to contemporary flats and supple leather boots.

It was a reminder that the best street style isn't created for the camera. It happens naturally, somewhere between one destination and the next.

The Walk

Some of the most memorable moments happened between venues.

Wine Walk NYC wasn't designed around a single destination but around the journey itself. Together, guests wandered through SoHo, allowing the neighbourhood to become part of the evening. The route encouraged pauses for photographs, unexpected conversations and the simple pleasure of discovering a city on foot.

Thoughtful details accompanied the walk from beginning to end. Illustrated neighbourhood guides led the way while custom conversation cards sparked introductions between guests who had only just met. Small branded moments appeared naturally throughout the evening, reinforcing the feeling of travelling through somewhere new rather than attending a traditional event.

It also became the perfect real-world test for every pair of Bared shoes. Worn across cobblestones, sidewalks and city blocks, they quietly proved that style and comfort never need to compete.

Elvis, Bar Bianchi And The Art Of Lingering

Like any unforgettable European holiday, the evening unfolded slowly.

The first stop, Elvis, welcomed guests with aperitifs and generous shared plates, creating an atmosphere where introductions quickly became conversations. There was no rush to move on. The evening was designed to be enjoyed exactly as it happened.

From there, the group made their way to Bar Bianchi, where cocktails gave way to a long seated dinner beneath candlelight. Stories stretched across the table, glasses were topped up and strangers slowly became familiar faces. It was hospitality at its most relaxed, warm, generous and entirely unforced.

The final stop offered wine and dessert, with refreshing lemon sorbets providing the perfect finish to a summer-inspired evening. Every venue contributed another chapter to the story, celebrating the European ritual of lingering a little longer and embracing the joy of moving slowly through a city.

Rather than simply moving guests between restaurants, the progressive format transformed SoHo itself into part of the experience. Each walk became another opportunity to explore, connect and experience Bared exactly as it was designed to be worn.

Good Style Travels Well

Wine Walk NYC was never just about showcasing footwear.

It was about creating the kind of evening people remember long after they've returned home. One built around discovery instead of schedules, conversation instead of presentations and genuine experiences instead of staged moments.

That philosophy sits at the heart of Bared. Shoes designed not simply for occasions but for everything that happens between them. The unexpected detours. The extra stop for another glass of wine. The streets that are always worth walking because you're comfortable enough to keep going.
