Bared Footwear's suppliers have pledged to uphold the Fair Labour Association Workplace Code of Conduct, which sets forth labour standards aimed at achieving humane and decent working conditions.
The Code's standards are based on International Labour Organisation benchmarks and internationally accepted good labour practices. Our association with the FLA requires our compliance with all relevant laws and regulations of the countries where our workers are employed, and to apply the highest standards when conflicts arise.
The FLA is an international collaborative network of businesses, universities, and non-government organisations. It operates on a global scale, establishing best practices for respectful and ethical treatment of workers, while advocating for fair wages and safe, healthy work environments for all employees.
However, the FLA Code of Conduct does not work by itself. Signing the Code is the first step to ensuring decent working conditions - brands must monitor supplier adherence to the Code and record documentation to prove it. To be sure that our suppliers continue to uphold labour standards, we need to see evidence. We monitor compliance with the Code’s requirements via our Living Wage audit program and our annual Workplace conditions Audits.
