WHAT:

B.plantfoam™ footbed is made from 72% plant-based materials (USDA-certified biobased). With a carbon footprint of 3.85kg CO2E, it reduces CO2 emissions by 70% when compared to traditional petroleum-based footbeds.

WHY:

Our B.plantfoam™ material breaks down within five to twenty years, prevents unnecessary waste in landfills and helps reduce carbon content in our supply chain. Comparatively, traditional polyurethane footbeds cannot be easily recycled, produce 300% more carbon emissions and can take over 1000 years to decompose.

Unfortunately, our footbed still contains a percentage of petrochemicals, as we haven’t yet found a fully biobased material that meets the durability standards for foot support. Our quest for alternative materials continues!
