A global leader in creating a world without hunger, The Hunger Project Australia believes in building resilience, not reliance.
The Hunger Project (THP) adopts a locally-led approach and partner with communities over the long-term. They address the overarching factors that cause hunger and poverty – such as gender inequality, climate change and conflict – to ensure success and sustainability.
THP x Bared
Our partnership with The Hunger Project began in 2019. We’re supporting THP with our limited edition THP range by donating a portion of sales from the range to help empower the communities of Malawi to sustainably end their own hunger.
To date, we have donated over $681,293 (and counting!).
Our journey so far
Communities we’ve supported:
Adonkwanta Epicentre, Ghana:
The epicentre was first established in 2003, allowing community members to gain access to workshops and training programs. With the opportunity and support provided by THP and its generous investors, the Adonkwanta community achieved self-reliance in 2022.
Nsondole Epicentre, Malawi:
The Nsondole Epicentre was first established in 2003. It now includes a total of 29 villages and reaches 23,248 people. With access to clean water, education, and other fundamental skills provided by the epicentre programs, the community began to thrive. In 2022, the Nsondole community proudly reached self-reliance.
Majete 7 Epicentre, Malawi:
Our current community. We support the people of Majete 7 and work to protect its wildlife and natural environment, too.
Stay tuned for updates!

“This partnership has had a direct and positive impact on communities in Malawi, the country of my birth and a place where there is both significant hardship; but also great joy, creativity and spirit. Having the Bared team here in Malawi to see how their support has empowered people and improved the lives of women and children was inspiring and powerful. I cannot overstate the difference Bared’s support has made – they have helped lay the stepping stones for a brighter future.”
