Hi, we’re Bared Footwear, an iconic Aussie label known for making shoes that feel as good as they look. Founded by podiatrist turned entrepreneur, Anna Baird, we fill the gap in the market for on-trend footwear that’s actually good for you.
The secret ingredient? Our biomechanical footbed. It’s hidden in every pair to give you unrivalled support you’ll love.
By consciously sourcing more responsible materials and partnering with the world’s most innovative suppliers, we’re driving change to reshape the future of the footwear industry.
A note from our founder.

As a podiatrist, when it came to footwear recommendations, I would find myself reaching for a brochure full of shoes I would never want to wear myself. There was clearly a gap in the market for great looking shoes that were actually good for you.
Thirteen years on, I am proud to say that Bared has filled that gap. We make great looking, super-comfy shoes and we employ only the best human beings to look after our customers. Our shoes really do empower people to #LIVEEVERYSTEP and our cult-like community of passionate Bared addicts inspire us to continue!
In the early days of Bared, a sense of achievement came from seeing the hottest influencer or celebrity in our shoes. While that’s still a thrill, I am now most excited when I find a new material that is kinder to our planet, or when I am working with a non-profit organisation or individual on a collaboration to give back to a community in need.
We have come so far but now the fun really begins – now, we’re taking steps towards a better future.

Our Biomechanical Footbed.
The secret is in our footbed, this little bundle of cushioned comfort provides all-day support with every perfectly shaped contour. The arch shape is designed to aid foot function and reduce pressure on the heel, while the heel cup cradles the heel providing next-level support.

We take pride in collaborating with people from around the world who help us bring Bared shoes to life. We have formed close relationships with our primary factories and are bringing them along with us on our sustainability journey. With their help, we’re tracing our supply chain to gain more visibility into our environmental and social impact. We mandate regular third-party audits for our tier one shoe producers; these audits include our ‘Living Wages Audit’ which was developed for Bared by industry experts.
