Remember 2025?
12/24/2025
If years could speak, 2025 would be loud. This was the year Bared turned the volume up. A year of stylings and sustainable impact, of in-store moments and high-end encounters.
It unfolded through runways and festivals, big achievements and celebratory milestones, all shaped by a shared belief in considered design and genuine connection. Before we step forward into 2026, we pause to reflect on the year that was and the community who made it possible.

Fashion Took Front Row
2025 marked our most fashion forward chapter to date. Across hemispheres and style capitals, Bared found itself woven into the global fashion conversation. We walked the warehouses of New Zealand Fashion Week and returned to both Melbourne Fashion Festival and Australian Fashion Week, reaffirming our place within the local industry we are so proud to call home. A creative partnership with Gail Sorronda brought an edge of elegance and depth, while street style moments in Copenhagen, Paris and London carried our shoes through cities defined by individuality and expression.
Then came Coachella. Under desert skies and golden light, Bared moved effortlessly from sunsets to headline performances. It was a reminder that style and comfort are not opposing ideas but natural companions, designed to travel together wherever the moment leads.

A New York Moment
New York has a rhythm unlike any other and for the first time, Bared stepped directly into it. Our Soho Pop Up became a space of discovery and connection, welcoming locals and travellers alongside long time Bared devotees.
What began as a thoughtful experiment quickly became a living community. Conversations unfolded between fittings and mirrors, stories were shared and friendships sparked. As we closed the doors on this chapter, excitement for what lies ahead in the United States only grew stronger.
Stars In Our Eyes
Some moments felt almost cinematic. Jameela Jamil fell in love with Bared. Emma Roberts carried our designs through Coachella with ease. Kate Hudson stepped out in our styles with an effortless confidence that felt entirely her own. Tyra Banks reminded us that icons value comfort just as much as style. Each sighting brought a thrill, not because of fame alone but because it reflected a shared appreciation for thoughtful design.
Collaborations also came into focus. Working with Elle Ferguson and Mary Kate Morrissey allowed us to explore storytelling shaped by personality and perspective, grounded in a shared love for Bared and the women who wear it.

Impactful Milestones
Beyond the visible moments, 2025 was defined by impact. Together, we surpassed $1 million dollars in donations to The Hunger Project Australia, a milestone once imagined and now realised.
We celebrated five years of partnership with Greenfleet, continuing our commitment to restoring native forests across Australia and New Zealand.
Our Customer Service Team received a national award, a reflection of the care and dedication they bring to every interaction.

Our B Corp recertification arrived with a score of 126.7 points, an increase of 31.7 since our previous review and a proud acknowledgement of the work happening behind the scenes. In partnership with ReSmart and UPPAREL, we diverted 2,800 kilograms of waste from landfill.
Our recycling programme surpassed 42,000 pairs of shoes since inception, with 2,000 kilograms recycled this year alone. We reached more than $215,000 donated footwear to Fitted for Work and launched Australia’s first 100% bio based footbed, created with Natural Fibre Welding’s Tunera.
Spotlight On Our Stores
Our physical spaces flourished this year. Auckland and Pacific Fair celebrated their first birthdays, each becoming a hub for events and community. From James Street Up Late to Stitch Up events and an intimate evening with stylist Lou Heller, our stores felt alive with energy. Pacific Fair was even honoured with the centre’s Retailer of the Year award, a remarkable achievement in its first year.
At the heart of these spaces are our store teams. Their warmth and expertise shaped countless experiences and the feedback we received this year was nothing short of extraordinary. To our customers, thank you for reminding us daily why we do what we do.

And Then In The Digital World
Online, your voices carried us further than ever. We surpassed 90,000 five star reviews and saw social engagement grow through creativity and conversation, on both our TikTok and Instagram. Community continues to be our strongest digital currency and in 2025, it flourished.
The Shoes You Loved Most

Wedgebill loafer emerged as a quiet hero, grounding wardrobes with architectural ease. Across cities and seasons, we saw it styled with relaxed tailoring, linen dresses and denim worn soft by time.

Our Lari sandal followed closely behind, becoming a staple for those who move seamlessly between moments. Worn with flowing silhouettes, sharp suiting and everything in between. We loved seeing it become part of daily rituals, styled for workdays that stretched into evenings and weekends shaped by spontaneity.

Colour told its own story in 2025. Our Cherry Red collection was worn with confidence and conviction, adding punctuation to neutral palettes and becoming the focal point of outfits that felt bold yet timeless. We loved seeing customers choose red not as an accent but as an anchor, letting their shoes lead the narrative.

Surfbird, our classic ballet flat, captured a different mood entirely. Playful yet purposeful, it was the shoe of choice for long summer days and travel worn wardrobes. You took Surfbird everywhere, from coastal walks to city streets, embracing its ease and lightness. It became a reminder that comfort can still feel considered and that simplicity often carries the strongest statement.

Then there were the Stretch Boots. Practical, polished and endlessly wearable, they became a constant through changing seasons. We saw them paired with dresses, worn under wide leg trousers and styled for long days that demanded both presence and comfort. What we loved most was how personal each interpretation felt, shaped by the lives our customers were living in them.

Ice Blue offered a softer counterpoint. Cool and calming, it appeared styled with crisp whites, soft greys and tonal layering. There was an elegance to the way our community embraced this shade, treating it as a modern neutral and a quiet expression of individuality. It felt reflective of the year itself, calm yet quietly assured.
