Regular ballet flats are made with thin soles that offer zero cushioning, no arch support and a flimsy heel counter making them not your friend. If you can bend your flat in half or push down the heel counter, they may be inhibiting your foot function. If you’re ever unsure if your flats are good for you, put them to the flat test.
