What are brogues?
It’s all in the detail. Brogues are renowned for their ‘broguing’, i.e. decorative perforations. Fun fact, historically, they were once a country shoe for the working class. The series of small holes allowed water to drain when working in wet, muddy conditions. We wouldn’t suggest trudging through wetlands in these guys anymore, but we love the little nod to history on this modern dress shoe for men.
