You can tell a lot about a man by his shoes. You can learn more by asking what it's like to walk in them.

Walk A Mile In His Shoes is a new five-part interview series from Bared. Host Josh Piterman hits the streets with five Australian blokes at the top of their fields, across sport, the arts and business, to talk about what high performance actually involves — and what its taught them.

Everyone sees the result, but few people see what it took. These conversations look to cover the less glamorous parts: resilience, focus, finding new ideas on deadline, and going the distance when quitting would be easier.

Each episode, we'll get into mental health, creativity and endurance, and the habits, setbacks and turning points that shaped each guest. Oh, and shoes. Because you can't get anywhere in life without a great pair of shoes.
